The Goodness of Park Forest

With Illinois entering a new era in the battle to stop the spread of Coronavirus, many families are worried how they will provide basic needs.The economy before this global crisis saw families working longer hours and multiple jobs for low wages and limited access to opportunity.

Despite the gloomy outlook, small towns are coming together to provide support during these confusing times. Residents of the southland such as Barb Dorman and Park Forest Mayor, Jonathan Vanderbilt, are proving that angels truely live amongst us.

For months, Barb and Mayor Vanderbilt have spearheaded efforts to distribute massive food donations throughout Park Forest and neighboring communities.​
